Tanahun. Transport vehicles have started operating from the concrete bridge built over the Kaligandaki River in Ghiring Rural Municipality-1 of Tanahun to connect Gandaki and Lumbini provinces. Although the bridge has not been inaugurated, transport vehicles have started operating from here, said Bishnu Bhakta Sigdel, chairman of the bridge construction user committee.
The bridge construction has connected Puttar, Ghiring Rural Municipality-1 of Tanahun under Gandaki province, and Syauli Bazaar, Rampur Municipality-1 of Palpa under Lumbini province. Sigdel said, ‘The part towards Tanahun is connected to the bridge. The part towards Palpa has been leveled with soil and brought into operation for transport, and the bridge will be inaugurated after management within some time.’
The bridge construction work was awarded to United Builders. The 210-meter-long bridge was constructed under the direct supervision and supervision of West Sector No. 4. An investment of Rs. 270 million has been made in the construction of the bridge, which was built using double-lane technology.
In the absence of a bridge over the Kaligandaki River, the people of Puttar and Syauli were forced to travel long distances via Nisdi Rural Municipality of Palpa. In the absence of a bridge, it was difficult to travel far to reach the nearby Syauli Bazaar. After the construction of the bridge, it will be possible to move around easily.
