Kathmandu. The Revenue Investigation Department has filed a case against textile trader Shyam Prasad Gupta, through the Revenue Investigation Office Itahari. The office has filed the case claiming a compensation of Rs 213.7 million.
A charge sheet has been filed against Shyam Vastralay (Est. Le. No. 302184631) proprietor Shyam Prasad Gupta in the Rajbiraj Bench of the High Court, Janakpur, on 14/01/2082 after completing the investigation for the crime of illegally importing Indian textiles and evading revenue.
Siraha District, Lahan Municipality Ward No. During the investigation conducted at Shyam Vastralaya located at 8, the office claims that the proprietor of the firm, Shyam Prasad Gupta (N.P. No. 2755260), committed revenue leakage as per Section 4 (a), (b) and (i) of the Revenue Leakage (Investigation and Control) Act, 2052.
A sum of Rs 106.8 million has been established as per Section 2 (6) of the Revenue Leakage (Investigation and Control) Act, 2052. A charge sheet has been filed demanding a fine of Rs 213.7 million along with 100% of the sum and imprisonment.
