95 percent beautification work of Manimandap area completed at a cost of about Rs 19 crore

Dhanusha. The beautification of the historic Manimandap area has reached the final stage with the aim of developing Janakpurdham as a marriage destination. Binod Yadav, chief of the Urban Development and Building Construction Office, Janakpurdham, said that around 95 percent of the beautification work of Manimandap area has been completed on about four bighas of land.

Works are being carried out at five places including Manimandap of Janakpurdham at a cost of more than Rs 189.1 million, he said. It will be handed over to Janakpurdham Sub-Metropolitan City after completion of the construction.

Ward Chair of Janakpurdham Sub-Metropolitan City-13, Jit Bahadur Raut, said that manimandap of historical importance is being made an attractive marriage place for Hindus of the world. The building has 21 rooms, including a hall that accommodates 70 people. Apart from this, there are two well-equipped 24-room dharamshala, marriage pavilion and two pavilions.

The project was started from the fiscal year 2074/75 BS and is planned to be completed by Mid-July. Nirmal Kumar Yadav, engineer of the construction company Rabina Construction, said that the final phase of work is going on accordingly.
