88 cases filed in Tribunal in April alone

Kathmandu. Disputes between banks and financial institutions and borrowers are on the rise. The registration of cases has increased in April as compared to last month.

A total of 88 cases have been registered with the Debt Recovery Tribunal in the month of April of the current fiscal year, which is 28 more than the previous month. A total of 60 cases were registered last month.

According to the details made public by the tribunal, the decision of 48 cases has been finalized in the month of April and the settlement of three cases has been done. Similarly, a total of 786 cases are yet to be decided and settled till April, according to the details made public by the Debt Recovery Tribunal.

Similarly, there are 26 cases that have been decided in the month of Baishakh. The total recovery amount for the month of Baishakh of the current fiscal year is Rs 12.67 million.

A total of 60 cases were registered in the Debt Recovery Tribunal and 47 cases were decided in the current fiscal year. Similarly, 67 such cases were registered in the month of February. Similarly, only 17 cases were decided in the month of February.

Banks and financial institutions have to recover billions of loans from these issues.
