Bhojpur. Bhojpur: Central electricity has been extended to Sampang of Shadananda Municipality-10 in Bhojpur district. In the past, 85 per cent of the people here, who used to spend the night on the basis of tuki lights, have got central electricity in their homes.
With the expansion of central electricity, the compulsion of the citizens to spend the night with the help of tuki for years has come to an end. Singha Bahadur Tamang, a local, said that the daily life has changed after the expansion of the central line of electricity.
According to him, the expansion of electricity has made it easier to do kutani, grinding and day-to-day activities along with lighting. According to him, an environment has been created to work by installing electronic equipment in the dark.
“The central power line has been installed while we are spending the night in the dark,” he said, adding that although our area was geographically very remote, the lights were lit due to the role played by the ward. Electricity has made daily living easier.
I am happy to be able to consume electricity even if it is late. Nirma Sherpa, a local, said that the expansion of the central line has made it easier to connect with the access to information despite being a remote area. He said that after the expansion of electricity, there is a situation to get information about the country and abroad by staying in the village using the net, internet and television.
“Electricity changed our daily routine,” he said, adding, “The daily life was very difficult due to lack of electricity. Electricity has made the life of the village easier. This work done by the state level is commendable. The expansion of electricity in the ward is exemplary. ’
Pemdorchi Shepa, ward chair, said that the central electricity has been extended to 85 percent of the people here after many efforts due to its geographical remoteness. He said that the promise made to keep the locals in the light of electricity in the election has reached the stage of being fulfilled. He said that he has been able to expand electricity in most of the villages as electricity has reached only a few places when he came to the responsibility of the ward.
“When I took charge of the ward, electricity was available in only a few places here,” said Sherpa, adding, “We have been able to expand electricity to 85 percent of the area now.” We are also working on expansion in the rest of the places. The goal is to declare a bright ward soon. Ward Chair Sherpa said that they are working on the expansion of electricity with priority by making maximum use of limited resources. The total population of the ward is 3,283 with 941 households.
