Kathmandu. Out of the 12 life insurance companies listed on the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE), 7 companies have declared dividends. The companies have declared a minimum dividend of 10 percent and a maximum of 28.41 percent to shareholders from the profits of the fiscal year 2080/081.
Among the life insurance companies, Citizen Life Insurance has declared the highest dividend of 28.41 percent and Suryajyoti Life Insurance has declared a 20 percent dividend.
Similarly, IME Life Insurance has declared a 21.05 percent dividend to shareholders from the profits of the fiscal year 080/081.
National Life Insurance is going to give a total dividend of 4 percent to shareholders, including 4 percent bonus shares and 10 percent cash dividend. Nepal Life Insurance Company has decided to give 10 percent bonus shares and 11 percent cash dividend to shareholders from the profit of the fiscal year 080/081.
Also, Himalayan Life Insurance Company Limited has decided to give 14 percent dividend to shareholders. The dividend has also been passed by the general meeting.
Life Insurance Corporation (Nepal) has not given any dividend to shareholders since 2077/078. It has not published any notice stating that it will not give any dividend from the profit of 080.081. Asian Life Insurance has also not published any information regarding dividends so far.
Sun Nepal Life Insurance had given 23 percent bonus shares and 1.25 percent cash dividend to shareholders in the previous fiscal year 079/080, but has not published any information in the fiscal year 2080/081.
Reliable Nepal Life Insurance had also given 0.84 percent cash dividend and 16 percent bonus shares to shareholders in the previous fiscal year, but has not published any information in the fiscal year 080/081. Sanima Life Insurance had given 18.38 percent dividend to shareholders in the previous fiscal year 2079/080 alone, but has not published any information this fiscal year.
Prabhu Mahalaxmi Life Insurance had also given 0.52 percent cash dividend and 10 percent bonus shares to shareholders in the previous fiscal year 2079/080 alone, but has not published any information this year.
