Kathmandu. Kathmandu: The Central Committee of Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has congratulated the newly appointed Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank and inaugurated the fourth central council meeting of the organization.
The programme was presided over by the organization’s president Krishna KC. Former Finance Minister and CPN (Maoist Centre) Deputy General Secretary Barshaman Pun (Ananta) was the chief guest on the occasion while Nepal Rastra Bank Governor Dr Bishwanath Poudel was the special guest.
Deputy Governors of Nepal Rastra Bank, Presidents of Nepal National Employees Federation Nepal, National Employees Association National Committee, Nepal Rastra Bank Employees Association and Nepal Financial Institution Employees Association and former chairmen of Nepal National Employees Association were present on the occasion.
Similarly, President of Nepal National Employees Federation Nepal Mani Ratna Shrestha, President of Nepal Financial Institution Employees Association Hari Krishna Bhattarai and President of Nepal Rastra Bank Employees Association Ramhari Ghimire also spoke on the occasion.
On the occasion, Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) Governor Prof. Dr. Bishwanath Poudel said that the unions operating in the bank should present the feelings and grievances of the general employees to the management and the bank management would positively address the constructive suggestions of the unions.
Likewise, former Finance Minister and CPN (Maoist Centre) Deputy General Secretary Barshaman Pun (Ananta) said that the overall financial system can be strengthened and efficient only through coordination and cooperation as the finance policy and monetary policy are complementary to each other.
At the same time, he suggested that the monetary policy of the present Government of Nepal should be implemented in a way that gives hope to the people in the context of not being transformative. He also opined that the collaboration between the union and the management would help in achieving the bank’s goals.
