Rasuwa. The number of tourists visiting the famous religious place Gosainkunda and langtang area, rich in terms of biodiversity and natural heritage, has increased significantly.
Tourists are seen coming to Rasuwa especially for the purpose of enjoying the beautiful view of the mountains and mountains along with the holy pilgrimage site and to observe the art and culture of the local Tamang community.
A total of 42,230 domestic and foreign tourists visited Gosainkunda and Langtang areas in the last 11 months of the current fiscal year. Ranger Keshav Dhodari, the park’s archivist, said 30,750 domestic and the remaining 11,480 foreign nationals visited Rasuwa district from Mid-July to Mid-May. According to the National Park, the number of tourists visiting Rasuwa in the last fiscal year was 32,597.
Domestic tourists return after bathing in the gosainkunda after observing the natural scenery towards Langtang. Rasuwa, a religious and tourist destination close to the federal capital Kathmandu, has witnessed an increase in the number of young people, especially those including pilgrims.
According to the park, rs 48.1 million revenue has been collected from visitor tourists, forest produce and helicopter landing fees during the same period. According to Senior Conservation Officer of the National Park, Shyam Kumar Shah, the amount has been collected as per the legal provision of charging Rs 100 per person to Nepalis, Rs 1,500 to citizens of SAARC countries and Rs 3,000 to tourists from other countries.
Similarly, a total of 2,952 people left for China via Rasuwagadhi border point for ‘Mansarovar Kailash’ yatra, according to the local immigration office. According to Lekhnath Khatiwada, chief of the Immigration Office, Ghattekhola Rasuwagadhi, 885 people have left for Lahsa in Tibet and 159 for China Everest.
