16,000 benefit from ‘One House, One Stream’ program

Gandaki. The drinking water problem has been solved after the implementation of the ‘One House, One Tap’ program in Rupa Rural Municipality of Kaski.

The program was implemented in the municipality with a population of 16,000 with the support of the federal and provincial governments as well as other social organizations, informed the municipality’s vice-chairman Lalsubba Gurung.

The rural municipality has developed a procedure to make drinking water systematic and long-term and has started the spring registration process. He said that eight springs have been registered in the municipality so far.
