Kathmandu. The Education, Health and Information Technology Committee of the House of Representatives has formed a subcommittee to discuss the School Education Bill clause-by-clause. The committee’s meeting held at Singha Durbar on Friday decided to form an 11-member subcommittee under the coordination of CPN (UML) MP Chhabilal Bishwakarma.
According to Chairman Ammar Bahadur Thapa, the subcommittee has been formed to finalize the controversial issues of the bill in a small team with representation from all parties and submit a report as soon as possible. The subcommittee has been asked to finalize it after discussing and consulting with other members of some committees, experts and other stakeholders.
It has also been asked to finalize it internally. The subcommittee includes MPs Bishwakarma, Dig Bahadur Limbu, Devendra Poudel, Mahendra Kumar Rai, Ram Prakash Chaudhary, Rekha Sharma, Bina Jaiswal, Binita Kumari Singh, and Sarita Bhusal. It has been said that one member will be added after the subcommittee begins its work. The subcommittee has been given a deadline to submit its report within 35 days.
