10th Environment Literature Symposium to be released on May 31

Kathmandu. The ’10th Environment Literature Seminar’ is going to be organized by The Nepali Paraya Sahitya Pratishthan and co-organized by The Sahitya Post at the Academy building on May 31.

In the seminar, a poem ‘Do not burn me by taking me to Aryaghat’ written by writer Bijay Hitan will be released. In addition, a collection of 32 best essays selected from 108 essays participating in the eco essay competition will be released.

The first, second and third place winners will be honoured with prizes while the remaining 29 contestants will also be honoured.

Prof Dr Abhi Subedi will be the chief guest of the programme while Gyan Bahadur Chhetri will be the special guest. Dr Govinda Raj Bhattarai will be the key note speaker of the seminar. Similarly, Dr Geeta Tripathi and Dr Ashok Thapa will be speakers on the occasion.

The program is coordinated by Vijay Hitan. According to the organizers, this seminar aims to further strengthen the relationship between the environment and literature.
