Rautahat. Police have arrested an operator who has been operating a hospital illegally for a long time in Chandranigahpur, Chandrapur-4, Rautahat.
Police arrested Rajan Sah, the operator of the Civil Human and Research Center Chandranigahpur, which was found to be unregistered during an inspection conducted by Madhesh Province Chief Minister Satish Kumar Singh on Saturday. The inspection team including Chief Minister Singh had issued a letter to the hospital to operate only after registering it.
Sah was arrested on Monday for opening the hospital in defiance of the said letter, informed Rajkumar Rai, Deputy Superintendent of Police at the Area Police Office Chandranigahpur. DSP Rai said that he was arrested for operating the hospital in defiance of the letter.
Chief Minister Singh had inspected 11 private hospitals in Chandranagar last Saturday. Of these, 10 hospitals were found to be unregistered. Out of the eleven, only Chandrapur Hospital Pvt. Ltd. has been found to have obtained permission to operate the hospital, informed the monitoring committee member secretary Santosh Thakur.
Chief Minister Singh and others inspected Highway Trauma Hospital and Research Center Pvt. Ltd., Civil Human and Research Center, Public Life Care Polyclinic, Apollo City Hospital, Chapur City Hospital, Himalaya Polyclinic, Chandrapur, Community Hospital, Namaste Dental Clinic, Chandrapur Orthopedic Hospital and Chandrapur Eye and Dental Treatment Center, which are currently closed, DSP Rai informed.
