Kathmandu. Sales of vehicles in China increased significantly in May. The improvement in sales has been seen after the government’s plan to encourage new vehicle buyers became effective.
More than 1.93 million vehicles were sold in May, an increase of 13 percent over the same month last year. The government has been providing special discounts to people who want to buy new vehicles by replacing old vehicles. The program has been further expanded this year, which has given more ease to consumers.
More than 4.1 million new vehicles have been sold in the first five months of this year. There has also been a significant increase in the production and sales of electric vehicles. In May, about 1.17 million were produced, while more than 1.02 million were sold.
In addition, in the first five months of this year alone, about 8.8 million vehicles have been sold, which is about 9 percent more than the previous year. China is moving ahead alone in the construction of electric vehicles, leaving behind most countries of the world. China, which has a large population in the global market, is making significant improvements in vehicle sales targeting the domestic market.
