Kathmandu. Today’s meeting of the House of Representatives has passed the Appropriation Bill, 2082. In today’s meeting, the proposal moved by Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel to pass the ‘Appropriation Bill, 2082’ was passed by a majority of the House.
Earlier, Speaker Devraj Ghimire presented the sections of the Appropriation Bill, 2082 for decision. The proposal to cut expenditure presented by MPs Dr. Amaresh Kumar Singh, Prabhu Sah, Durga Rai, Prem Suwal, Amanlal Modi, Janardan Sharma, Bimala Subedi, Rekha Sharma, Chitra Bahadur KC, Shakti Bahadur Basnet, Hitraj Pandey, Ram Kumar Rai, Devendra Poudel, Madhav Sapkota, Ranendra Barali, Gyanu Basnet Subedi, Urmila Majhi, Hit Bahadur Tamang, Ammar Bahadur Thapa, Tshiring Lhamu Lama (Tamang) Narayani Sharma, Ganga Karki and Lekhnath Dahal was rejected by the majority of the meeting.
In today’s meeting, the concerned ministers answered the questions raised during the discussion on various topics of the Appropriation Bill, 2082 BS under the headings of Labor, Employment and Social Security, Home, Communication and Information Technology, Finance, Urban Development, Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, National Planning Commission, Office of the President and Office of the Vice President. .
The government presented the budget for the upcoming fiscal year 2082.83 in the joint meeting of the Federal Parliament on 15th Jestha. In the previous meetings, discussions were held on the Appropriation Bill under general and ministry-specific headings. The concerned minister answered the questions and clarifications raised during the discussion on various headings of the Appropriation Bill.
