Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank conducts various corporate social responsibility activities

Kathmandu. Mahalakshmi Bikas Bank has completed various programs in the fourth quarter of the fiscal year 2081/82 in line with the policy of running programs under corporate social responsibility. The bank has carried out programmes in various areas such as financial literacy, education, health, disaster management, environmental protection, cultural promotion, infrastructure construction/improvement, Sustainable Development Goals, human services and philanthropy.

Similarly, the Martadi-Bajura branch of the bank has distributed school bags to the students studying at Shree Laxmi Secondary School in Bajura.

Similarly, the Patan-Baitadi branch of yes bank has provided financial assistance to Shree Siddheshwar Secondary School located at Melchaura Baitadi of Patan Municipality-01 for the construction of toilets. The school, which has 800 students and 30 employees, needs toilets and has been funded to help prevent possible infectious diseases.

Similarly, mahendranagar branch of the bank has provided food items to Shree Baijnath Dham and Old Age Home Service Committee in Kanchanpur. Also, Budhanilkantha Municipality of Kathmandu District. Round Table Nepal in association with Round Table Nepal has organized scholarship distribution program for 11 students studying at Shree Madan Ashrit Adarsha Secondary School, Kwantol, Chandeshwari, Ward No. 4.

In addition, Kalaiya branch of the bank has distributed water free of cost to reduce the inconvenience caused due to high temperature during summer. Similarly, police circle Maligaun, Kathmandu has been provided drinking water to the police circle Maligaon, Kathmandu as part of its corporate social responsibility with the objective of facilitating the police personnel deployed on the spot.

In collaboration with Rotary Club of Birgunj, financial assistance has been provided to distribute 10 artificial legs and 10 artificial hands, while Rotary Club of Gaindakot has provided financial assistance for the construction of toilets in Shree Navdurga Basic School. The bank believes that such corporate social responsibility actions being carried out by the bank will contribute to the overall economic and social development.

The bank has recently launched ‘Mahalaxmi Smart Sathi’ by refining the mobile application in line with the bank’s policy of providing state-of-the-art, secure and easy digital banking facilities to the customers.
