Kathmandu. CPN (Maoist Centre) lawmaker Sudan Kiranti has said that air service is the country’s diplomacy and the country’s image. He said this while speaking at a meeting of the International Relations and Tourism Committee on Friday.
Discussions are underway in principle on the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal Bill, 2081 BS on Friday. Speaking on the occasion, Lawmaker Kiranti said that the bill is very important for effective service and development of Civil Aviation in Nepal.
He said that a message was being sent at the international level that Nepal is a non-working country if Nepal is not removed from the blacklist.
“Air service is the country’s diplomacy and the country’s image. Now this is a very necessary bill for effective service and development. But we have spent more than 12 years, this bill is not over. Nepal has been blacklisted by the European Union. It is only the Nepal Airlines Corporation that has a direct impact on it. Others don’t have it. There is no stopping other foreigners. Nepal has stopped only the flag carrier. The Himalayan doesn’t have that. It is causing such a huge loss. An international message is being sent that Nepal is a non-working country. ’
