Kathmandu. The board of directors of Prabhu Bank has been completed. A meeting of the Board of Directors held on Thursday elected Kishor Jung Karki as the chairman and nominated Ramesh Raj Aryal as an independent director. The seven-member board of directors of Prabhu Bank has been completed with the nomination of chairman and independent directors.
Karki, who became the chairman of the bank’s board of directors, was on the board of directors on behalf of the public shareholders. Angir Man Singh, Brikh Bahadur Basnet and Ambika Sharma are the directors on behalf of the founding shareholders. Similarly, Suraj Kumar Shrestha and Raju Poudel are directors on behalf of the general shareholders.
Aryal has been appointed as an independent expert director on Thursday. Aryal had earlier served as ceo of NCC Bank and Kumari Bank.
Karki, who has been appointed as the chairman of the bank, is a retired former employee of the Government of Nepal as joint secretary. As joint secretary, he worked in the Department of Money Laundering, The Department of Internal Revenue, the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority and the Ministry of Finance. Born in Okhaldhunga, Karki holds a master’s degree in public administration.
Karki is considered to be an excellent and disciplined publisher in the administration of nizamati. The board of directors of the bank believes that the business journey of the bank will be further strengthened under the chairmanship of Karki.
Ramesh Raj Aryal is a former banker. He has more than three decades of experience in the banking sector. Recently, Aryal led the successful merger of NCC Bank and Kumari Bank. He was the CEO of Kumari Bank for some time after the merger. Aryal completed his MBA in first class from Shankardev College.
