Kathmandu. The government has said that there is no need to rewrite the bill related to banks and financial institutions.

Finance Ministry officials have clarified that it is not necessary at present, even as the finance committee is urging the government to rewrite the bill related to banks and financial institutions.

Revenue Secretary Dinesh Kumar Ghimire said that the bill presented by the government two years ago could expire.

Secretary Ghimire said that it is not possible to keep the entire economy moving through a single bill. According to him, everyone’s attention should be paid to maintaining institutional discipline. Wafia has addressed this. He said that the Ministry of Finance is discussing how to overcome the mentality of indifference.

Revenue Secretary Ghimire said, “Efforts have been made to include more in bafia. Section-wise can also be included, but bafia alone cannot cover everything. Other laws are being enacted. For example, we are making laws for property management. Investment has been banned on the basis of the law to invest abroad. There is also a discussion on how much to open, a policy arrangement is being made about it.  The Nepal Rastra Bank Act is also going to be made contemporary. We are improving the investment climate by amending two dozen laws. ’

According to him, the Ministry of Finance is sensitive towards improving the economy. There is no need to doubt it. Secretary Ghimire argued that more than two dozen laws are in the process of formulation and the economy can be revived through the formulation of these laws.
