Kathmandu. Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Devendra Dahal has said that priority has been given to projects of national pride and strategic roads in the upcoming fiscal year’s budget. Minister Dahal said this while replying to the questions raised on the Appropriation Bill in the Meeting of the National Assembly on Wednesday.
A budget of Rs 24.49 billion has been allocated for the completion of the fast track construction, he said. Which is 2 billion rupees more than last year. Stating that the infrastructure sector has suffered huge damage due to last year’s incessant rainfall and subsequent floods and landslides, Minister Dahal said rs 19 billion has been agreed for its reconstruction.
Minister Dahal also said that he was saddened that the traditional style of budget allocation could not be changed.
