Kathmandu. Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) lawmaker Dr Dhaval Samsher JBR has demanded the development of Rara as a lake city. He made the proposal while speaking at a meeting of the International Relations and Tourism Committee on Wednesday.
Stating that there are many opportunities in Nepal, he stressed the need to develop Rara area as lake city area. He argued that karnali would be transformed if Rara could be developed as a lake city.
Stating that Indian tourists are treated like thieves in Nepal, he said, “There is so much adultery. Let’s do a DPR to develop Rara as a lake city. And no investors come. If such long term things are affected a lot, then karnali will be transformed if the lake city becomes Rara. Let’s try. Such big visionary things should be done. We are not tourism friendly. If you come to Nepal in an Indian car, it seems that the robbers have come. They feel like they have come to steal. ’
Lawmaker Jabra said that if tourists from India and China could be brought in, they would not have to look at other countries.
