Bhojpur. Pauwadung rural municipality has distributed agricultural implements to farmers. The rural municipality has distributed agricultural materials worth Rs 2.8 million in cost sharing with the farmers.
According to Nabin Bhattarai, chief administrative officer of the rural municipality, 42 minitillers and 26 grass cutting machines have been distributed based on the demand of the farmers. Agricultural implements were distributed to the farmers participating in the cattle rearing program. He said that agricultural implements have been distributed with the objective of mechanization by connecting the farmers to the traditional farming system.
Stating that the rural municipality has laid emphasis on systematic farming system, rural municipality vice-chair Jyotsna Rai said that the rural municipality is producing akbari chillies worth crores of rupees and equipment has been distributed to encourage farmers to cultivate such cash crops. He informed that various programmes are being run through the Women’s Development Board to connect women in entrepreneurship.
