He has been promoting and promoting Mithila food from Janakpur to Kathmandu and promoting various types of Nepali food outside the country. Outside the country, from america to Europe, Australia and Japan, he has been promoting original dishes of different communities and ethnicities of Nepal.

Similarly, they are working on the promotion of Mithila Thali in the country. Shah, who started ‘Mithila Thali’ restaurant at Jhamsikhel in Latilpur a year ago with the aim of serving Mithila cuisine to the people of Kathmandu, then expanded his outlets in Naxal and Gaushala.

After tasting Mithila thali to the people of the capital, he has brought fish dishes reflecting the taste of Janakpur at this time. In Shah’s words, this effort is part of cross-promotion. He claimed that the ‘Janakpur Fish House’, which was started at Mithila Thali Restaurant in Naxal, can get the taste of Janakpur in fish dishes.

“We have tried to bring the cooking style and taste right, which will wipe them out of the bottom of janakpur fish,” he said. On Tuesday evening, Chef Shah himself was cooking and feeding the guests from different walks of life present at Janakpur Fish House.

According to him, there is a variety of fish dishes to be eaten here. The guests said that the taste of the fish was very sweet. They expressed confidence that Janakpur Fish House would become a major destination for fish lovers.

Like in Janakpur, Chef Shah is confident that many people will like fish in thick tawa and mustard oil. There will be an open kitchen in the fish house. Chef Santosh’s elder brother, Chef Dilip, has supported him in this work.

Dilip, who brought Santosh into the hospitality sector, has three and a half decades of experience working in the hospitality sector in Nepal, India and Central America. Chef Dilip says, “Just as there is a tradition of eating sekuwa in kilograms in Kathmandu, this restaurant has been opened with the aim of introducing only fish, the way there is a tradition of eating fish in Janakpur, it is our effort to bring that taste and experience here.” ”

According to him, about 10 types of fish dishes will be found in the fish house.

Special tawa fish, small Janakpuri muri and mula pickles can be tasted along with it. Foods such as trout, shrimp, fish chili, fish set are also available. All the dishes are prepared in the traditional taste and style of Janakpur and Mithila.

Chef Santosh Sah said that drinks have also been made available at an affordable price at Janakpur Fish House. Earlier, Chef Shah’s ‘Mithila Thali’ has become very popular across the country. Mithila Thali’s branch is extended to Janakpur as well as Naxal Gairidhara, Gaushala and Jhamsikhel of Kathmandu.
