Kailali. After the incessant rains that have been occurring since last night, Sudurpaschim Province Chief Minister Kamal Bahadur Shah has directed the security agencies to adopt high alert and be ready for mobilization.
Due to continuous heavy rains, Kailali, Kanchanpur and other surrounding areas have been flooded and submerged. Chief Minister Shah requested the general public to stay safe during the disaster as there is a possibility of inundation due to floods.
Floods are increasing in the Mohana River of the district. The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has also requested the residents of the riverbanks to remain alert till this evening. Currently, the water level in the Mohana River has exceeded the flood alert level.
