Kathmandu. Director General of the Department of Animal Services, Dr. Ramnandan Tiwari, has said that the importance of integrated farming systems is increasing. Speaking at a program related to the Climate Smart Diary Farming Project in Nepal Sharing Workshop in Lalitpur on Thursday, he said this.
He said that the importance of integrated farming systems has started increasing again recently, saying that there was an integrated farming system earlier and it was receding. He also said that it is important to know how to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
He said, ‘The importance of integrated farming systems has increased. Chemical fertilizers damage the land and the second is sufficient and expensive. How to reduce greenhouse gas emissions? The practice we have done in reducing is important. The Government of Nepal, the projects of the Government of Nepal and the work that the government is trying to do are the same.’
He said that the animal husbandry sector has become an important sector for Nepal’s livelihood and that it is necessary to make necessary plans to ensure that agricultural products are priced fairly.
