Kathmandu. CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that it is not good to remove bills that have been unanimously passed by the committee and placed on the agenda of the parliament. Speaking at the meeting of the State Affairs and Good Governance Committee on Wednesday, he said this.

He said that it is not good to remove bills that have been discussed and passed in the committee and put on the agenda of the House, adding that there is a lot of movement between the time the bills reach the House and the time they reach the House from the committee. He said that he has made some understanding with the government for important bills considering the political situation of the country.

Chairman Dahal said, ‘We sit in the committee, discuss, honorable members study, think, reflect and pass them. Some are passed unanimously, some are passed by voting. But by the time the bills we have passed reach the full house, there have been many kinds of maneuvers. There have been delays, many things have happened. Even now, I am very worried. Looking at the political situation of the country, some sensitive and very important bills that we have worked hard to bring from the House to the committee, are being removed even after passing from the committee and reaching the House and being put on the agenda.’

Chairman Dahal emphasized that one of the reasons for saying that we should increase our understanding with the government is so that sensitive and important bills can be converted into laws as quickly as possible.
