Kathmandu. Nabil Bank has introduced the ‘Nabil Sustainable Savings Account’ scheme keeping in mind the needs of its customers. The bank has launched this scheme with the aim of reducing and controlling carbon emissions.
Under this scheme, the bank has directly allocated an amount of 0.5 percent of the total deposits annually to reduce and control carbon emissions. The bank has stated that a minimum balance of Rs 10,000 is required to open this account.
The bank has informed that this savings account is targeted at individuals of all age groups, Non-Resident Nepalis (NRNs) and non-profit organizations. In addition, the bank has stated that customers who maintain a minimum balance can use Nabil Bank’s digital banking platforms NBank and NBank Wave for free under the digital banking promotion.
In addition, customers participating in this scheme will be provided with a free Nabil debit card and credit card for the first year, and a 25 percent discount on annual locker fees. In addition, the bank has stated that a one-time tree will be planted in the name of a customer who maintains a minimum average half-yearly balance of Rs. 50,000 under this scheme.
Nabil Bank has launched 20 savings accounts. Nabil General Savings Account, Nabil Premium Savings Account, Nabil Corporate Staff Savings Account, Nabil Senior Savings Account, Nabil Child Savings Account are in operation.
Similarly, Nabil Karmashil, Nabil Social Security, Nabil Gen N, Nabil Sahuliat, Corporate General, Nabil Gen Alpha, Nabil Digo, accounts are in operation. The bank has stated that 3 percent interest rate will be available on these savings accounts. Similarly, 3.5 percent interest can be obtained on Nabil Shareholder and Nabil Premium Payroll Savings Account.
Corporate Premium Savings has been fixed at 4 percent interest. Nabil Gold Savings, Corporate Super, Nabil Gold Payroll, Nabil Dukh Savings will earn 5 percent interest. Nabil Premium Remittance Savings Account will earn 6 percent interest.
