Kathmandu. Asian Life Insurance Company Limited has convened a general meeting. As per the decision of the company’s board of directors held on June 15, the meeting was convened from 1:00 pm at Hotel Ichchha Simara, Bara on July 15.
The meeting will pass a proposal to distribute 5.10 percent bonus shares and 0.26 percent cash dividend for tax use to the shareholders on the basis of the current paid-up capital of Rs 3.39 billion 98 lakh 36 thousand from the profits of the last fiscal year.
The meeting will approve the annual report of the last financial year, auditor’s report and other financial statements and appoint an auditor for the current fiscal year and determine his remuneration.
The meeting will elect three directors representing the founding shareholders (Group A), two from the general shareholders (Group B) and one independent director.
The company has decided to close the book for one day on July 15 for the purpose of annual general meeting and dividend distribution. According to the company, only the shareholders of the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) will be eligible to participate in the meeting and receive the dividend approved by the meeting till June 15.
