People living in coastal areas urged to take precautions

Kathmandu. Kathmandu: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has urged the people to take precautions as the water level in the rivers of Kathmandu Valley has reached close to the alert level. According to the Department, the water level in Bishnumati, Bagmati and Dhobi khola has reached the alert level due to the rain at midnight.

According to the Department, the water level has crossed the alert level, especially in bagmati river (Gaurighat) and Dhobi khola (Chabahil) areas. The Department has urged those travelling along the banks of the river and those living along the banks of the river to take precautions.

Similarly, the Department has also requested to take precautions as there is heavy rainfall in Gorkha. Roads in various parts of Kathmandu were also inundated due to heavy rain at midnight.
