Doti. Three people were killed in a jeep accident in Doti. Five people were injured. According to police, the jeep (Suprap 01001 Ja 1395) met with an accident at Dipayal Sayal road section at Khiradhara Dhaulamati of Adarsha Rural Municipality-1 at around 1:40 pm today.
The deceased have been identified as Devi BK, 41, of Sayal rural municipality-4, Suresh Karki, 27, of Dadimana of Adarsha rural municipality-7 and Kali Katuwal, 35, of Katuwal village of Sayal rural municipality-6, according to District Police Office Police Inspector Ram Chandra Joshi. Two people died on the spot while Kali died while undergoing treatment at the District Hospital Doti around 4:12 pm. According to the police, kali is pregnant.
Anita BK, 14, Syanu BK, 16, Kailash Bista, 22, Deepak Bista, 14, and Sabitra Katuwal, 10, daughter of kali Katuwal, were injured in the accident. The condition of four injured is critical and the condition of one is moderate. The injured are undergoing treatment at the district hospital.
According to the police, the jeep going from Dipayal to Mauwa lost control on the road and met with the accident. Further investigation is underway, police said. The jeep fell about 250 meters down the road.
