Kathmandu. The Infrastructure Development Committee of the House of Representatives under the Federal Parliament has inspected the Guarco Overpass in Lalitpur. Committee President Deepak Singh conducted the on-site inspection today.
Committee member and Member of The House of Representatives Madhav Sapkota said that the inspection was carried out to know about the progress of the overpass. “Most of the works have been completed while inspecting the overpass, but some minor works are pending,” he said. Discussions have been held to summon the secretary of the ministry, director general of the Department of Roads and other officials to give necessary instructions. ’
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli will inaugurate the overpass on Friday, according to the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport. The deadline has been extended several times, but now the construction of the overpass has reached the final stage of completion.
The construction of the flyover project, which started on February 12, 2018, was extended in various phases and completed by December 20, 2081 BS. Ashish-Parallel-Religer JV Kathmandu is constructing the overpass with a 30-meter span and a four-lane bridge.
