Kathmandu. Five major highways have been blocked and three highways are in one-way operation due to incessant rain in different parts of the country. According to the Police Headquarters, the Araniko highway at Bhotekoshi Rural Municipality-2, Kodari, Bhotekoshi Rural Municipality-3, Larcha and Bhotekoshi Rural Municipality-2, Koplad of Sindhupalchowk district in Bagmati state has been completely blocked due to the rain.
Similarly, the Bheri Corridor at Tripurasundari Municipality-1, Chhalghat in Dolpa district of Karnali State and Gokuleshwor Khalanga Highway at Mahakali Municipality-5 in Darchula district of Sudurpaschim State have been obstructed.
Similarly, three main roads that were blocked due to rain have been operated unilaterally. Jumla-Mugu road in Jumla district, Kaligandaki corridor in Gulmi district and Ravi-Rake-Bhedatar road in Dhankuta district have been operated unilaterally.
