Kathmandu. The Nepal Chamber of Commerce has drawn the government’s attention to the problems faced in the implementation of mrp. Chamber office-bearers and other business team, including Chairman Kamlesh Kumar Agrawal, Vice-President Deepak Shrestha and another Vice-President Nilkantha Chaulagain, have suggested to Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies Damodar Bhandari to implement the MRP only after creating awareness among consumers and sellers.

The Chamber has said that mrp should be implemented only on the basis of all-party discussions and consensus with the concerned bodies before Minister Mandari. “It is the constitutional right of the consumers to get quality goods and services, so that the consumer should not be deprived of this right and to increase awareness about the market and goods on every issue, publicity and awareness activities should be carried out. Businessmen are in trouble. ’

Chairman Agrawal said that the unilateral decision of the government would further worsen the business environment in the current situation where the industrial and business situation has not improved. According to Agrawal, the information given by the Department of Commerce Supply and Consumer Protection to keep the retail selling price level with MRP on all domestic and imported goods as per Section 6 of the Consumer Protection Act 2075 BS and the market monitoring and unnecessary action being taken by the Department is further deteriorating the industrial environment.

Chairman Agrawal said that the issues that are currently in dispute should be resolved through mutual discussion by spreading publicity among the consumers and traders regarding the retail sale price MRP.
