Kathmandu. CPN (Maoist Centre) Chair and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said that the ruling parties Nepali Congress and CPN (UML) do not want the obstruction of parliament to be opened.
Speaking at a press conference organized by The Press Centre Nepal in Chitwan on Tuesday, Chairman Dahal said the government wants the parliament to remain obstructed so that the law-making process pending in the parliament does not move forward.
He also said that they have decided to go ahead with the investigation of the visit visa case as it is imperative to solve the problems seen in the education sector and to make laws.
“The NC and THE UML are in the government regarding the acts currently under consideration in the parliament. If you look at the current disruption, the leadership of this government wants this obstacle to remain. I wish this barrier would not have been opened. You have seen what this trend is like and in such a situation, i am also in the opposition because i have the responsibility to make an act and end the chaos seen in the education sector. ’
He said it was their responsibility to conclude the remaining legal works related to the Federal Government Act, School Education Act, Citizenship Act and Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC).
He claimed that although he had agreed to proceed with the process with serious investigation by giving priority to the formulation of the act as he was in the leadership role, it was misinterpreted.
He said, “Since I am the party of change to think responsibly about the federal government act, school education act, citizenship act and the remaining works related to TRC, and as its chief leader, I have to give priority to the formulation of the act on some basis and fulfill this responsibility without leaving the matter of investigation. We thought it would be appropriate for us to move forward with the responsibility of building. ’
According to him, the education sector will be pushed towards further anarchy if the school education is not passed by June 15.
