Kathmandu. Ict Foundation Nepal and Ncell Foundation have jointly organized ict knowledge program in all seven provinces. The digital literacy programme ICT Gyan was launched on May 15 with the objective of spreading digital literacy in all seven provinces.
More than 2,000 people, including teachers, students, people’s representatives, experts and locals, participated in the digital literacy programme. Ict knowledge was conducted in Morang of Koshi Province, Sarlahi of Madhes Province, Dolakha of Bagmati Province, Syangja of Gandaki, Pyuthan of Lumbini, Salyan of Karnali And Kailali of Sudurpaschim.
Do not share OTP code in the program, do not use the same mobile app that you get, check whether the website is official or not, do not share your details on the basis of what someone says or asks, do not do digital transactions using free WiFi, keep passwords that cannot be easily guessed using special characters, change passwords from time to time, use two-factor authentication in accounts, Literacy was given such as not sharing details of citizenship, national identity card or other identity on social media, using a mobile number in his name.
Students, teachers and local people’s representatives who participated in the literacy program also said that such digital literacy programs need to be conducted in many more places. Ict Knowledge was introduced under Ncell’s Social Responsibility Program to reduce the gap seen in digital literacy with the development and expansion of technology.
Organized as a state-level program to spread digital literacy from the remote to the villages, subject experts provided literacy on topics such as cyber security, digital tools, electronic governance and financial technology.
It is believed that the ICT Knowledge Program will contribute significantly to digital inclusion and building a technology-friendly society.
