Kathmandu. The Revenue Investigation Department has filed a case. The Department has filed a case against Nepal Can Move Pvt. Ltd. demanding damages and fines.

There has been a dispute that the start-up company providing cargo services will not be taxed on the payments made to riders.

According to the department, the company evaded VAT at the rate of 13 percent on a total transaction of Rs 782.84 million. A total of Rs 101.77 million tax will be levied on this transaction. It has demanded Rs 1.36 billion for evading vat interest and penalty and income tax.

The Department filed the case at the High Court in Kathmandu on Sunday.

Instead of paying taxes, harassment on the start-up company of revenue investigation, bargaining by locking the employees when things are not done.
