Kathmandu. Chief Whip of Rastriya Prajatantra Party Gyan Bahadur Shahi has accused the Speaker and parliament of standing in favour of middlemen. Talking to media persons at the Federal Parliament Building on Sunday, he said that the parliament and the speaker himself stood by the middlemen, so the parliament had to be boycotted.

Stating that the Speaker had dissolved the Parliament ignoring the opposition of rastriya swatantra party and RPP on the visit visa issue, he said that the Speaker had dissolved the parliament by going against the rules even though there were rules that could not be implemented when one lawmaker protested.

He said, “The Speaker today said that Nepali citizens have been sold in the visit visa case. Recent facts and evidence have shown that the government itself is involved. Even when it was revealed that the software has been cheated, the Speaker ignored it when around 35 lawmakers raised their voice in the Parliament that we needed an answer from the Home Minister. We boycotted the Parliament after the Speaker and the Parliament themselves stood by the middlemen. There is no other option but to boycott. Because parliament does not function in this way. ’

Chief Whip Shahi said there was no point in staying inside the parliament as the demands raised in the parliament were not addressed.
