Patan (Lalitpur). Kathmandu: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) Governor Dr Bishwanath Poudel has said that the rastra bank would facilitate access to capital and development of entrepreneurs.
Speaking at the 25th anniversary celebrations organized by IME Limited in Lalitpur today, Governor Poudel said that IME Limited has done an important job in the situation where people do not get money due to transactions through hundi.
“This contribution of IME is a very big contribution, the country needs people who can work with a very big challenge, look for employment and business potential,” he said.
Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) Deputy Governor Bam Bahadur Mishra said the IME has been successful in bringing the earnings made abroad to Nepal through formal means and expressed the belief that it would be able to follow the policies and directives issued by the Rastra Bank in the coming days.
Chandra Prasad Dhakal, founder chairman of IME Group and president of The Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry( FNCCI), said that foreign remittances have been brought back home when there is no trust. Stating that the impossible work has been made possible by working honestly, he said that THE IME would work by giving importance to the priorities of the government, the needs of the common people and the business entrepreneurs.
IME Limited Chairman Hemraj Dhakal said that the ime campaign started due to the problem of sending money to Nepal while living in Japan from 1994 to 1998. Chief Executive Officer of IME Limited Diwakar Poudel said that the remittance service was started after understanding the needs of the country in the complex situation of 25 years ago.
