Constitutional Council (Functions, Duties, Powers and Procedures) (First Amendment) Bill passed

Kathmandu. The National Assembly has passed the Constitutional Council (Functions, Duties, Powers and Procedures) (First Amendment) Bill, 2079 BS.

A meeting of the National Assembly held on Friday passed the Constitutional Council (Functions, Duties, Powers and Procedures) (First Amendment) Bill, 2079 BS. On behalf of the government, Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation Balram Adhikari proposed to pass the bill.

National Assembly Chair Narayan Prasad Dahal announced that the resolution was passed unanimously by the House. Responding to the queries raised in the discussion, Minister Adhikari said that no rule or law should always remain the same and the problems seen at the working stage should be corrected.
