Kathmandu. A total of 457,168 passports have been issued by the Department of Passports from December 2081 to Mid-April 2081. The government informed about this at a meeting of the International Relations and Tourism Committee held at Singha Durbar on Friday.
According to Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Arju Rana Deuba, a total of 457,168 passports have been issued by the Department of Passports from 2081 Bs to Mid-April 2081.
During this period, additional mobile teams have also been deployed in Romania, Poland, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Malaysia and Japan. Minister Rana also informed that a committee has been formed to present ways to solve the problems related to foreign employment.
She said a committee has been formed under the coordination of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to present solutions to the problems related to foreign employment.
Minister Rana shared that new divisions including public diplomacy, economic diplomacy, labour migration have been created at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Nepali missions abroad after the completion of the organization and management survey of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Nepali missions abroad amidst the increasing workload, changing geopolitics and diplomatic environment.
