Mountain. The Chisapani-Deurali-Banidanda road is being blacktopped. The blacktopping began 15 years after the track was opened.
According to the Local Infrastructure Development Office, the blacktopping of the road is being carried out at a cost of Rs 10 million allocated by the federal government. Along with the blacktopping of the road, the construction of the retaining wall, the construction of a drain to drain out the rainwater, filling of gabion net and the construction of the culvert were completed last year, but this year’s budget has only blacktopped it. It has become easier for the general public to reach the Waling-Huwas road through this route.
According to Rabin Panthi, an engineer at the Local Infrastructure Development Office, the blacktopping work will be completed within the current fiscal year.
