Kathmandu. A Nepali delegation has left for Macao to participate in the 16th International Infrastructure Investment Summit. A team comprising Federation of Contractors’ Association of Nepal (FCAN) President Ravi Singh, members of Nepal Investment Board and Joint Secretary of implementation committee Sushil Babu Dhakal has left for Macao.
The conference is scheduled to be held in Macao from June 14 to 28. Talking at the airport before leaving, Chairman Singh said that he was attending the conference at the invitation of Chinese contractors. He shared that Nepal has been participating in the Infrastructure Investment Summit being organized by the Macao government every year. He said that there is a lot of scope for investment in Nepal and they have been advocating for investment.
A session has also been organized on the possibility of investment in Nepal and it will be informed about the investors from Nepal, he said, adding that it is necessary to invest in a way that benefits all.
“Every year, at the invitation of the Chinese government, this conference is being held in Macao at the invitation of Chinese contractors. An investment summit is organized by the Macao government. Every year, as we participate, there is a conducive environment for investment in Nepal. There is a lot of investment potential here. We have been advocating for investment. This year, especially joint secretary of the implementation committee Sushil Babu Dhakal and some members of the Nepal Investment Board are also going. ‘
“They also had a session on investment prospects in Nepal. I have also participated in leading the Federation of Contractors’ Associations. There is a slogan of everyone’s share in investment. It is necessary to invest in a way that benefits everyone. We will discuss about the benefits of all investors, investing countries and their people in that investment. This summit is being held in Macao from 9th to 13th, this is the 16th conference,” he said.
Chairman Singh said that he has been advocating for the possibility of investment in Nepal every year and now it has become easier to invest in Nepal in terms of law.
