Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: CPN (Maoist Centre) lawmaker In the National Assembly Jag Prasad Sharma has said that the government has not paid attention to changing the condition of the people financially. He said this while participating in a discussion on the annual estimates of revenue and expenditure for the fiscal year 2082/83 BS in the National Assembly meeting on Friday.
Stating that there was a need to restructure the economy to change the condition of the people, he said the government was not paying attention to it. Stating that the remittance amount has made Nepal’s economy moving, he said that no facts and figures have confirmed that nepal’s economy has improved.
He said that although economists and economists have presented the basis for raising at least Rs 2 trillion revenue annually in Nepal, the government has not taken forward such a structure and system through the budget. He also accused the government of not paying attention to controlling revenue evasion, leakage and corruption.
He said, “Now that the economy is moving so far, remittances have come to Rs 1.2 trillion and it is estimated to come to Rs 1.6 trillion by mid-June.” It is here that the remittance money has made Nepal’s economy vibrant. So here, no data, fact/figure confirms that the economy has improved. Economists and economists say that nepal can raise at least 2 trillion revenues. But why could the government not put forward such a structure and system through this budget statement when it was the basis to collect Rs 2 trillion revenue? There is evasion in revenue, leakage, corruption, there is no way to control it. The main problem is that the system has changed, but the government did not go to the need to restructure the economy to change the condition of the people economically. ‘
