Two arrested for duping people of Rs 4.2 million on pretext of foreign employment

Kathmandu. Police have arrested two persons for duping unemployed youths by promising them attractive salaries by promising foreign employment. Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office, Teku arrested them from different parts of Kathmandu on Friday.

The arrestees have been identified as Pramila Baruwal, 40, of Manthali, Ramechhap and Mohan Pokharel, 34, of Gongbu, Kathmandu.

They extorted huge sums of money from the victims in the name of employment by luring them with lucrative salaries in countries including the UK and Poland. Baruwal has a huge amount of Rs 32.35 lakh and seven people have been victimized by him.

Similarly, Pokharel, who was arrested, has a huge amount of Rs 1 million. There is one victim from Pokharel.

They have been sent to the Department of Foreign Employment, Tahachal, Kathmandu for further investigation and action, according to the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office.
