Kathmandu. Main opposition CPN (Maoist Centre) lawmaker Nar Bahadur Bista has demanded the resignation of Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak over the visit visa issue.
Speaking at a meeting of the National Assembly on Thursday, Lawmaker Bista reiterated the demand for the resignation of the Home Minister. He said the home minister needed to be investigated as there was no confirmation of his involvement in human trafficking under the cover of visit visa.
“A high-level inquiry committee should be formed and action should be taken immediately against those involved in human trafficking as a whole,” he said. The Home Minister will also be reinstated after his innocence and if he is guilty, he will go to jail. How can you tell you that he is innocent now?”
He also demanded that a parliamentary or judicial inquiry committee should be formed to investigate the irregularities, corruption and human trafficking seen in the visit visa case.
