Kathmandu. Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Deepak Khadka has said that the government is working with the goal of zero carbon emission. At the same time, receiving a memorandum on the campaign of the Foundation to stop the use of coal energy today, he said that the government has put forward various planned programs to reduce carbon emissions to zero.

Minister Khadka shared that the government was initiating legal and policy arrangements to advance green energy. Stating that the government has set a target of producing 28,000 MW of hydropower by 2035, he expressed the belief that the target would contribute significantly to Nepal’s clean energy transformation.

Minister Khadka expressed the belief that the import of coal from India would decrease with the use of renewable energy. Stating that climate change is creating problems in nepal’s mountains as well, he stressed the need for cooperation and cooperation of all to protect it.

At the same time, Chairperson of the organization, Prajita Karki, said that pollution caused by climate change has seriously affected the health of the people.
