Kathmandu. Life insurance companies have earned more than Rs 139 billion in insurance premiums till mid-April of the current fiscal year 2081/82 BS. According to the details made public by the Nepal Insurance Authority (NEA) on May 29, 14 life insurance companies in operation have earned a total of Rs 139.36 billion in insurance premiums.
Nepal Life Insurance has earned the highest insurance premium till mid-April of the current fiscal year. The company has collected a total insurance premium of Rs 36.59 billion in 10 months. National Life Insurance is at number two in earning insurance premium. During the same period, the company collected rs 17.20 billion in total insurance premiums, while LIC Nepal Insurance earned Rs 15.57 billion in total insurance premiums.
According to the data released by the Nepal Insurance Authority, Himalayan Life Insurance has earned Rs 17.79 billion in 10 months, while the National Life Insurance Company has collected Rs 8.67 billion in which insurance fees have been collected
Suryajyoti Life Insurance has collected Rs 8.53 billion while Asian Life Insurance has earned Rs 7.14 billion in the last 10 months.
Similarly, Met Life has earned Rs 4.98 billion. Ime Life has collected Rs 4.19 billion in 10 months while Sun Nepal Life has earned Rs 3.41 billion. Reliable Nepal has earned Rs 4.14 billion and Citizen Life Has earned Rs 5.68 billion till mid-April.
Sanima Reliance Life insurance earned Rs 5.33 billion and Prabhu Mahalaxmi Life Insurance Rs 4.10 billion in 10 months.
