Kathmandu. CPN (UML) Chief Whip Mahesh Bartola has said that the opposition parties have shown unparliamentary and apolitical behavior by obstructing parliament demanding the resignation of the Home Minister over the ongoing investigation against the employees.

Chief Whip Bartol made the remarks while talking to media persons at the Parliament House premises on Tuesday. Stating that many studies have been conducted on the employees in the past as well, he said it would not be appropriate to demand the resignation of the minister by linking the issue of the employees under investigation.

He also said that the tendency to hold ministers accountable in the context of investigation against employees would create a situation for a minister to resign in a day. He accused the opposition of trying to go against the frog’s tendency to get the blame of the rats cutting paddy by demanding the resignation of the Home Minister over the issue of employees.

He said, “The kind of behavior displayed by the main opposition party to demand the resignation of the Home Minister by linking an employee to the process of investigation or investigation carried out by the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) and obstructing parliament for that was a repeat of the very unparliamentary, apolitical process in the parliament.” This is very sad. Because many studies have been done on employees in the past. ‘

“They have also reached the level of action. If we are trying to continue the work of asking for the resignation of ministers by linking the context of employees who are under control, under investigation, and holding ministers accountable, then every one minister has to resign every day. So let’s hit where there is a problem. We should not go with the tendency of frogs to get blamed for rice cutting rats,” he said.

Opposition parties raised slogans demanding the home minister’s resignation.
