Kathmandu. Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) President Chandra Prasad Dhakal has stressed the need for proper implementation of the recently amended laws. Speaking at a programme organized by Nepal Land and Housing Development Association in the capital today, Chairman Dhakal said that the government has brought many laws in the recent past, which are private sector-friendly.

According to him, the government has brought private sector-friendly laws after the private sector has repeatedly said, now the country should move forward by properly implementing the laws.

Chairman Dhakal said, “The laws that have been changed now. In fact, it is based on the suggestions of the private sector. The government has finally addressed the private sector’s repeated talks. A lot of things have changed. Some laws are good laws. It needs to be implemented. The working procedures of the laws that have been changed now should be expedited and work should be done on time. If this happens, then the results of the work will be good in a very quick time. ’

Chairman Dhakal said that the problem has been caused due to the narrow arrangements related to demarcation and classification. According to him, the government should follow the report submitted by the High Level Economic Reform Commission to the government in letter and spirit.

He stressed the need for the government to be generous for the development of the private sector as it can increase revenue to employment. Dhakal said the country was facing an economic slowdown due to non-implementation of the suggestions given by the private sector in the past.

On the occasion, Acting President of Nepal Chamber of Commerce Deep Kumar Malhotra said that many other sectors are facing problems due to lack of real estate business. Chairman Malhotra stressed the need to solve the problems of real estate and real estate sector first.

“There are problems in many other sectors due to non-flourishing real estate business,” he said. First of all, the problems of real estate and real estate sector should be solved. We have to give the most importance to this. Unless this sector thrives, other industries will not flourish. We are also creating a company in this regard with real estate investors. The company’s job will be related to real estate. The real estate sector will be promoted. ’

Chairman Malhotra said that all those who go across the country and do real estate related business will be made members of the company.

According to him, earlier there was a competition to take the property of bad borrowers by going to the bank, but now the bank itself is asking the industrialists to take such property. He said that such a trend has increased due to low demand in the market.

On the occasion, newly elected Chairman of Nepal Land and Housing Development Association Deepak Kunwar stressed the need to develop real estate business as an industry. Chairman Kunwar said that due to the restrictions imposed on the real estate business, the cement and rod industry has reached a difficult situation.

Chairman Kunwar said, “So far, real estate business has not been developed as an industry. Cement, rod and paint industries have been in a difficult situation due to the restrictions imposed on the real estate business. Many industries are not able to operate because of the crisis. If the real estate sector becomes active, the workers will be able to become active from employment to engineers. Today, workers to engineers have to be disappointed due to lack of business. ’

On the occasion, outgoing President of Nepal Land and Housing Development Association Bishnu Prasad Ghimire said that the problems in the real estate sector could not be resolved despite the interest of the country’s Prime Minister and Finance Minister. According to him, they could not work while giving the responsibility of land classification to the local level, due to which the real estate area is being destroyed.

Ghimire said the state needs to pay attention to this.
