Kathmandu. Kathmandu: Nepal is preparing to take the proposal of the employer country to the World Health Organization (WHO) to take the responsibility of the health treatment of the workers who have come for labor from foreign countries. Nepal is preparing to take the proposal to the World Health Conference under the World Health Organization next year.

Minister for Health and Population Pradeep Poudel, who returned home on Thursday after attending the World Health Conference, said that Nepal was preparing to take the proposal of the employer country to take full responsibility for the health of the citizens of any country going to the employer country next year to solve the dire health problems faced by their citizens by sending workers to other countries.

Stating that Nepal has been informed about this in the conference itself, he said that before the proposal is passed by the WHO, it will be a situation for the concerned countries to inform about the health assistance and health condition before going, leaving and returning.

He said that this would end the situation of returning without treatment, the situation of not getting full treatment due to the expenses of treatment and the situation of not being treated due to the expenses and the situation and compulsion of some people not being able to send the body to the concerned country after death and the situation and compulsion to carry the disease.

Minister Poudel said, “The WHO has unanimously passed the proposal of policy arrangement to officially support the country which is most affected by the epidemic, especially in the case of epidemic. This will directly benefit poor countries like ours. Until now, there was no need for the WHO to compulsorily help when it was a pandemic. After this meeting, the situation has been created after the passing of this proposal that the WHO will compulsorily provide assistance in the country where the epidemic has occurred. This is an achievement. ‘

“At present, there is no complete treatment due to the cost of treatment. There is a situation where treatment is not available due to the expenses of some. Some are unable to send their bodies to their respective countries after death. “We are trying to move a proposal to create a situation where the country that has gone to labour should take full responsibility for its health to end the situation and compulsion to carry the disease,” he said.

Minister Poudel stressed the need for Nepal to actively participate in who’s policy matters. He said that the proposal being taken by Nepal is necessary for many member countries of who.
