Kathmandu. The Public Accounts Committee of the House of Representatives (HoR) has decided to send a letter to the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) to investigate the construction of Pokhara Regional International Airport.
Committee member Rajendra Kumar KC said that the meeting of the committee held on Wednesday decided to send a letter to the Commission to take necessary investigation into the issues obtained in the study report and take action.
Earlier, the committee had formed an investigation study sub-committee under the coordination of member Rajendra Lingden based on the complaint of irregularities in the construction of the airport. Based on the issues pointed out by the sub-committee in the report, the committee directed the COMMISSION to proceed with the investigation.
Based on the report submitted by the sub-committee on May 15, a letter has been sent to the Commission to carry out further study, investigation and legal action, including the case, if found guilty and inform the committee about it. rss
